Little Folk Love...

There is no greater joy than seeing happiness on the face of your loved ones... (check out those two little teeth!)

And, it is the simplest of things that can bring that happiness...

Through the eyes of a child... all is new again...

Velvet, our little assassin cat who is getting on in age, enjoyed the attention of a babe, too... well... maybe not so much... but she was a super good sport letting Little Lady get in her loves...

Stolen from Amanda

The other side of the joy in seeing the happiness on their faces is the sorrow of missing out on special times... Our Little Roo had his big 2nd birthday  and here... far, far away...

Stolen from Amanda

And, our precious Little Man had his end of year programs... This one from the Cubbies class of Awana... far, far away...  Noni misses you so much.

Children... and Grandchildren... bring your greatest joys and your greatest sorrows... In some ways, life would definitely be easier without them; but, I would have never reached the zeniths... nor the nadirs... Thank you, God, for the blessings You have given.

"The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises."
~ Leo Buscaglia

What you've written is so very true. I'm up to my heart strings in love this week, spending time with my two little grandsons and getting to know the two day old twins. *bliss*

Can't believe how your Little Miss has grown! What a sweetie. I can surely relate to the distance issue. We are realizing how much we've missed with our Chicago three now that we had a local GK. Great psot, Tanna!

What precious looking little ones. The two teeth, the cute little sagging diaper on little superman and the grown up Cubbie. Yes, a lot of grandma's have to miss these special moments, but now with Skype and cell phones, closeness is possible between the miles. Beautiful words, Tanna. Blessings to you.

Well said, Tanna. Pulling at the heart strings! Beautiful photos of a sweet little baby girl (I can't believe how big she is already) ... and then the boys, sigh! Even a cubbies vest for a memory for me! Look at his badges! Looks like a sweet party. Did you have a skype party?

superman with the pull-up stole the show! hahaha.

My Taylor did AWANA. Lots of good stuff tucked away in his tiny, impressionable mind forever. :)

Such sweet little ones! I know you adore having them around. The little miss is growing so fast. And the little men are as well.

Best,
Bonnie

Your grand little ones are all so adorable. It seems as if there isn't a care in the world when you spend time with a beloved child. You are indeed blessed, Tanna.
Congrats on winning over at Catherine's!

Your granddaughter is a beauty.

If I were Velvet the little assassin cat, I'd let Little Lady give me some loves, too. Who could possibly pass up that cuteness?! The Little Men and I miss you. Lots. xoxo

Beautiful words about love and all it encompasses Tanna..the highs and the lows are all worth it. We too live very far from children and grandchildren...half way around the world...and bless Skype and Facetime for enabling us to stay connected. Your grandbabies are so wonderfully photogenic!

I have said it before, and I will say it yet again. You have beautiful grandchildren! The pink version is as cute as the blue ones, and that little scrinch in the last picture curled my toes.

(And I love that quote at the end)

Tanna, your words are so true, children can bring you the greatest joys and the biggest worries. I imagine Grandchildren are more on the joy spectrum.
Hugs to you,
Meredith

"Truer words were never spoken".
Being a grandparent is beyond words.
Being a grandparent from a distance is HARD!

You rock Superman!(That has to be one of those pictures you might show his girlfriend someday)

so, so precious...truly precious. And Awana, so know that and such a wonderful program, we just finished our year also.

A lady told me last night that grandchildren were our reward for not killing out own kids....LOL!!! It also reminds us that we were faithful with our own children as we enjoy the life of our grands.
